In order to enroll, youth must be 8 to 19 years old as of January 1 of the current calendar year. Schoharie and Otsego Counties also offers a program called Cloverbuds for youth ages 5 - 7 as of January 1 of the current calendar year. There is no fee for joining 4-H in Schoharie or Otsego County however, some local clubs collect dues. 4-H is open to everyone regardless of race, religion, color, sex or place of residence.
