Pail Shop Vineyards
124 Goose Street, Fly Creek, NY 13337
Pail Shop Vineyards opened in 2014 to offer small-production wines in a unique and picturesque setting. We are located on the corner of Goose Street and Route 28 in Fly Creek, less than a five-minute drive from Cooperstown. Our goal is to create distinctive wines from grapes that grow well in New York. We have five acres of vines on our 30-acre farm, including Traminette - a relative of the German grape Gewürztraminer- and Marquette, a cold hardy descendant of Pinot Noir. These vines will survive New York’s cold winters, and when we apply labor-intensive, cold-climate viticulture practices, their grapes make bright and balanced, fruit-forward wines. Additionally, we work with growers in the Finger Lakes and the North Fork of Long Island for a source of grapes from New York’s premium grape growing regions.
