In September 2017, the Otsego County Board of Representatives adopted a new Agriculture and Farmland Protection Plan. Along with the plan, an Ag and Farmland Protection Plan Implementation Committee (AFPPIC) was formed and an Implementation Specialist was hired to oversee the progress of the plan. In the summer of 2018, Farm, Source, Thrive, Otsego was born as a brand to represent the plan and all of its various projects and programs.
