4-H Showmanship Clinic and Calf Sale

Otsego County 4-H is holding its annual Showmanship Clinic and Calf Sale on Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21 at the Otsego County Fairgrounds in Morris.  All breeds will be represented in the sale.  There will be a silent auction prior to the sale along with food concessions.

Each year 4-H youth in Otsego County excitedly prepare for their annual calf sale by training and caring for the animals prior to the sale. This year, marking the 12^th Annual Otsego 4-H Calf Sale, youth are asking adults to support 4-H dairy programming by purchasing consigned dairy animals. Whether you are purchasing a show calf for a 4-H member in your family or looking to add to your dairy herd, this is the sale for you! Many champions from all breeds have been sold at this sale in past years. Top quality calves are being consigned this year by Maple Downs Farms II, Crossbrook Farm, Tiger Lily Holsteins, Roedale Farms, Dar-Ker, Weissman Farms, Cooperstown Holsteins and much more.

9 a.m. - Registration 

Potluck Lunch—bring a dish to pass

**Remember to bring your gear!

Wash stuff—brushes, buckets, curry comb, etc. Clippers, topline brush, hair dryer, etc.

New this year! Work on Saturday, earn a lunch ticket to be redeemed on Sunday at the sale! 

This year we will have a special speaker, Eileen Jensen, NY Animal Agriculture Coalition Representative. She will speak on Saturday at lunch time about how to interact with the public while exhibiting your animals at the Fair.

Sale Day - Sunday, May 21

Sale starts at 1 p.m. We will need lots of help all morning getting the animals prepped for the sale ring.
Lunch available from the Grange (bring your meal ticket provided on Saturday)
