Our honored speaker is Chuck Bornt, Vegetable Extension Specialist, Cornell Cooperative Extension Eastern New York Commercial Horticulture Program. Chuck has been a vegetable specialist with CCE for almost 20 years, serving first in western NY and for the last 16 years right here in the Capital District. He was raised on a 20 acre vegetable farm in Rensselaer County. His speech "Tales from New York Vegetable Producers" will cover the challenges of invasive species, changing customer preferences, and threats of trade barriers.
The Hartwick Theater Guild will also be on stage presenting short scenes from their 2018 production of the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe! Making a guest appearance will be several theatre characters, including: the Lion, the Witch, Maugrim, and Centaur.
