4-H Career explorations allow youth to have fun while learning about science, engineering, technology, humanities and themselves. Registration is now open. Contact your 4-H office to receive information for your county.
Career Explorations has two tracks.
University U for teens entering grades 8 and 9. Career Explorations is a three-day event for youth on the Cornell University campus. The purpose of this program is to provide youth with exposure to academic fields and career exploration, to develop leadership skills, to provide hands-on experience in a college setting and to introduce you to Cornell University. The cost to attend last year was $250. We do not anticipate any dramatic price increase this year. Please call your local county for more information.
Focus for Teens for youth entering grades 10 to 12. Participants spend 3 days with a specific department. Choices include astronomy, horse and dairy careers, biomedical engineering, crop and soil science, waste to energy, teaching, food science and DNA, geospatial science, plus many others.
