4-H Horse Riding Evaluations

As with last year, the focus is to make sure 4-H Horse Program members in need of riding evaluations are given the best opportunity to succeed. This event will focus on 4-Hers and Cloverbuds completing their evaluations prior to events such as Horse Camp and the Fair.

Horse Evaluators are looking to provide opportunities for riders to demonstrate their basic riding abilities and that they can safely ride in specific events (over fences, gymkhana, etc.).

4-H’ers will receive a riding evaluation registration packet WITH the 4-H Horse Program Update letter. 

Again, this event is in place to complete riding evaluations prior to program events. 

There will be NO riding evaluations offered at Horse Camp and we ask that leaders and parents plan accordingly.

Proof of current Rabies and Coggins for any project horse MUST be brought the day of the event.

Registration deadline for Evaluations is June 5th.

There will be NO riding evaluations offered at Horse Camp.

Deadline for NYS 4-H Horse Certificates to the 4-H office is June 1st.
