  • Wednesday, October 10, 2018, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

4-H is the youth development program of Cornell Cooperative Extension and is open to youth ages 5 to 19. 4-H clubs can introduce youth to projects from astronomy to zoology including animal science, photography, natural resources, and gardening. 4-H also offers opportunities to youth who work independently of clubs. Workshops, camps, trips and other adventures are all available through 4-H membership. Youth who are involved in 4-H projects gain self-confidence, independence, public speaking skills, and generosity, among other life skills. Would you like to know more?

The Otsego County 4-H program will hold two interest meetings for parents and youth, as well as adults who are interested in being involved with the 4-H program. Find out how to start a club, join a club, or volunteer to make a difference in young people’s lives.

The first meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 9, 6:30 p.m. at the Education Center in Cooperstown, 123 Lake Street.  The second meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 10, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Extension office in Oneonta at 31 Maple Street.  For more information, contact the Otsego County 4-H Office at 607-547-2536 Ext 0 or email otsego@cornell.edu.
