Wildlife Habitat Education Program WHEP-Xpedition

  • Friday, August 28, 2020, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Do you want to live the Wildlife? Then let us WHEP you into shape!
MUST BE 10 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AND MUST BE A REGISTERED 4-H MEMBER

WHEP is a knowledge competition where youth learn about different species of birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and where they live. This year we will focus on what habitats animals live in. We will have a more national perspective.

The program is based on the National 4-H Wildlife Habitat Education Program which offers an annual competition. Currently, NYS does not send 4-H youth to the National 4-H Wildlife Habitat Education Program competition. However, should enough interest arise, facilitators will explore the opportunity for 2021.

Schedule:

Friday August 28: 10AM until Noon—WHEP Competition via Kahoot. There will be separate Kahoots for Juniors and Seniors.

1:30PM—WHEP Zoom. We will announce the winners during a Zoom call at 1:30. We encourage all participants to Zoom in if they can.
