4-H Horse Quiz Bowl and Hippology 2022

Chenango County District Educational Competition Event

Individuals or teams of four compete in a quiz bowl format against other counties on general horse knowledge. Topics include colors breeds, care, and feeding, parts of the horse and tack, show rules, diseases, conformation, unsoundness, shoeing, breeding, etc. Coaches run weekly practice from December through March. Open to 4-H members ages 9 to19.

Teams consist of no less than four and not more than six members.

Seniors - at least 14-years of age but not yet 19-years old by January 1 of the current year

Juniors - youth ages at least 9 and less than 14-years old as of January 1 of the current year.

Novice - youth ages at least 9 and less than 14-years old as of January 1 of the current year and never participated in any previous Horse Quiz Bowl contest.
