To the 4-H Community

On Friday, October 11, 4-H member Garrett Proskine, a 17-year-old senior at Unadilla Valley was in a traumatic farm accident. He is the oldest son of Zack and Amy (Hill) Proskine, Gilbertsville, NY.

Garrett was airlifted to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. He is suffering from a severe brain bleed and skull fracture which has him remaining in critical condition. He is currently sedated to allow his brain to relax and help with the swelling. Garrett has already undergone two surgeries. Next step is to SLOWLY bring him out of sedation.

UPDATE as of 10.30.19 - Garrett was moved to Sunnyview Rehabilitation in Schenectady, NY. Please continue to keep lifting Garrett up in prayer as he begins this next phase of recovery. He still has a very long road to go.
