Are you planning to become a certified pesticide applicator in 2025?
Join us for an in-depth review of topics covered on the NYS DEC pesticide applicator certification exam. This exam preparation course includes explanations of key concepts on the core exam, DEC exam procedures, test-taking tips for the core and category exams, practice questions, and Q&A with instructors and our DEC Region 5 representative.
This training is geared toward certification categories 1A (agricultural plant), 21 (field and forage), 22 (fruit), and 23 (vegetable). If enough interest, DEC will hold an exam at this location in February for course participants.
Participants are encouraged to obtain a Core Certification Training Manual for Pesticide Applicators and Technicians and the appropriate category manual from the Cornell Store prior to taking the exam. These manuals are not required for the preparation course, but are needed to prepare to take the exam after the course.
Manuals can be purchased from https://www.cornellstore.com/books/cornell-cooper or (607) 255-4111.
