2024 Cornell Sheep & Goat Symposium

The Cornell Department of Animal Science is hosting the annual Cornell Sheep & Goat Symposium on the Ithaca, NY, campus. The symposium will include demonstrations and hands-on sessions for beginner and veteran goat & sheep farmers, as well as presentations on such topics as veterinary care, breeding, forages, and starting a goat or sheep dairy.

Friday 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm is devoted to a range of advance-sign-up workshops including Balancing Feed Rations.

Saturday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm includes hands-on demonstrations, presentations from small ruminant experts, and panelist discussions throughout the day, including some specifically for youth.

Sunday 8:30 am – 4:00 pm features an advance-sign-up internal parasite workshop with FAMACHA certification, and ADGA Pre-Judges Training Conference.

Registration deadline for the symposium is October 25. Register online.

A block of hotel rooms at a reduced rate has been reserved for attendees. Deadline to reserve a room is October 20.
