Let’s Swap! Annual Seed Swap in Otsego County

Celebrate National Seed Swap Day with the Master Gardener Volunteers from CCE Schoharie and Otsego Counties on January 31, 2026. This is the perfect time of year to start thinking about spring and honor this great traditional of swapping seeds with neighbors.

Master Gardener Volunteers will be in two locations with FREE seeds generously donated by several local businesses. No registration is necessary, just show up at either of these two locations:

Otsego County:

Oneonta Farmers’ Market

24 Market Street, Oneonta, NY

(Foothills Performing Arts & Civic Center)

9:00 am to Noon.

In addition to the seed swap, Master Gardener Volunteers will be on hand with gardening demonstration and will be available to answer gardening questions. Attendees are encouraged (but not required) to bring seeds to swap. Ample free parking is available.
