Master Gardener Presentation Sponsored by The Rotary Club of Unadilla

  • Wednesday, February 25, 2026, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Do you have a question about growing a vegetable garden? Wish you knew the name of that pesky weed that keeps popping up in your flower bed? Wonder where you can find resources and information for your own gardening project? A Master Gardener Volunteer might be able to help you!

Hosted by the Unadilla Rotary Club on February 25, 2026, at 6:00 pm for an informative program about garden-based education in the community and the Master Gardener Volunteer Program. This program, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the William Bauer Community Center (formerly the Masonic Temple) at 246 Main Street, Unadilla, NY. No registration is required. Come with your gardening questions!

Otsego Master Gardener Volunteers Chris Burrington and Kim L’Heurex, lifelong gardeners and vetran Master Gardener Volunteers, will cover topics such as seed starting and soil blocking growing techniques. Master Gardener Volunteers and staff at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Schoharie and Otsego Counties (CCESO) are trained to answer residents’ questions about home gardening, on topics such as soil testing, growing vegetables, plant selection, pruning fruit trees, common plant diseases, insect identification, lawn care, and more. Master Gardener Volunteers are local residents who have completed a horticulture training course and passed a final exam to become certified. They provide unbiased, research-based information to help people grow healthy gardens and landscapes.
