Special Projects Educator

The Special Projects Educator will work in a team environment to assist with developing, planning, delivering/implementing, providing outreach and evaluating the needs of specific projects in the program areas of our Association. The primary focus is on grant initiatives such as our Farm to School Local Foods – Healthy Schools, and our Together We Grow project collaborations in local schools and communities in both Otsego and Schoharie counties. The position will work primarily from our Cooperstown office. Community Energy Educator

We're hiring a second fulltime, full benefits position for this growing program! You will be teaching and informing residents, multifamily building owners, small businesses of their options for adopting clean energy strategies in their homes and businesses primarily in Otsego County. S/he will deliver and provide education in many ways, not limited to tables/booths at community events; presenting before large audiences; one-on-one phone calls; assisting leads/clients with every step of applying for relevant programs available to them and coordinating with local energy contractors to provide accurate information on the programs, etc. For the full position description and to submit your resume, cover letter and references, please follow this link to APPLY for this position. Garden Educator and Maintenance Position

Cornell Cooperative Extension Schoharie and Otsego Counties (CCESO) in order to build relationships with community audiences and to integrate local experience and research-based knowledge in the area of horticulture, home gardening, food security, and environmental stewardship, in 2023 built a 12-bed demonstration garden for community garden programs, garden education, and demonstration of gardening techniques.

The Garden Educator and Maintenance Position will work alongside Master Gardener Volunteers to assist with the garden related programs and gardening maintenance for 10 hours per week from May to October. This parttime, temporary and seasonal position will work from and report to the Horticulture and Natural Resources Educator at our Cooperstown, NY location.
