Backyard Chicken Class from CCE-Tompkins

Our popular Backyard Chickens class returns on Zoom on Thursday, May 6 at 6pm. The class is intended for people who want to keep a few chickens for home egg production. 

The City of Ithaca and the Villages of Dryden and Trumansburg allow residents to keep a small number of chickens (check specific municipal ordinances for any restrictions) but require a permit and evidence that you have attended a class on raising chickens. This class meets that requirement, attendees will receive a letter to take to their municipality. 

Open to anyone regardless of where you live. 

Cost: $0-$30/household, self-determined sliding scale. Details and registration link on our WEBSITE.
